Reflections on Life

Reality

We are all told that realism means life as it is while idealism is life as it should be.  In my opinion, however, the mere thinking of a certain ideal is one realistic approach to life.   I have never made a distinction between realism and idealism, believing that life is about the ideas we have in our mind and about having the power to turn these into something we can see and appreciate.

The other day I saw the movie Cinema Paradiso.  I was impressed by how life can manifest itself within the walls of a movie theater, to which people go with the intent of living their ideals.   The act of being within this movie theater and of being moved by what is shown on the screen is a reality that remains with the audience for ever.

We make and break; we keep and change; and we create reality out of the womb of our own ideas.

Your dream is your reality, and the dreams of all other people combined are life.

Your dream (I mean your reality) is but one distinct piece in a large mosaic.  If you don’t have the real mirror (soul), you will just think that your color is the same as all other pieces.

Evening ..
How are you , thanx for your comment ...
"...you will just think that your color is the same as all other pieces."
Intersting really , sometimes its a bit hard what you are saying cause in times we do creat colors that are not recognisable by others and we end up living i our own hue ... we have to play it a little bit to live and be seen ..
their are blind souls ...

Hi Mais, your comments do enrich this soul-understanding corner. One joint venture when can have is me elaborating on your one-liners.

Some of the ideas i put into writing might seem a little bit below that level human beings call maturity, or, in the view of philosophers, above the level at which humans feel satisfied with their own defense mechanisms and sometimes ignorance. You know, that level where people put layers upon layers on the essence of who they are. I agree that we need to play it a little bit; however, I am against playing it too far, that is, to the extent of drifting far away from who we really are.

look forward to seeing more of your comments.
